Sponsoring River Conservation in Colorado at Denver's River Mile Fishing Derby
September 27, 2024 marked the 4th annual River Mile Fishing Derby on the South Platte River in downtown Denver. The event supports the River Mile Foundation and the Greenway Foundation, in a shared mission to revitalize Denver's South Platte River. As an event sponsor, Collegiate Peaks Bank was represented by bank president Liam Girard and regional president Troy Blessing, alongside the Turner Foundation, Rhys Duggan from Revesco Properties, and nearly 40 other fly fishermen and women. What started as an event to raise awareness about the river now raises over $25,000 annually to support improvement of the South Platte River.
